We currently sell Pointe shoes in store only. A good fit is of upmost importance and therefore cannot be an “online” purchase. Should you require a replacement pair of a shoe you regularly wear, please call Duo Dance on 020 7274 4517 or email info@duodance.co.uk. Our prices range from £62.00 to £78.00. No need to make an appointment, just pop in when it’s convenient for you. On Sundays, we always have a staff member on site who specialises in pointe shoe fittings, however all staff on all days are fully trained. Sometimes there will be a wait – do call if you wish to enquire about busy/not so busy times.
We sell the following:
Bloch European Balance ESO160L. These are available in 5 skin tones. On visiting Duo Dance, you would try them on in pink satin and then we would order your chosen colour for you. European Balance is a bestseller for Bloch and has a curved last which follows the natural contours of the foot. This makes it a perfect shoe for a beginner as well as an advanced dancer. The ESO160S is also available on request for those who need a stronger shank. The ESO160S is available in pink satin.
Bloch Lisse ESO162L. An absolute favourite here at Duo Dance and again perfect for a beginner and advanced dancer. Like the European Balance, the Lisse follows the curve of the foot but a contoured heel reduces bagginess, achieving a beautiful, seamless line. For those needing a stronger shank, the ESO162LA Enhanced Arch is available on request.
Bloch Amelie SO103L. An introductory pointe shoe featuring a medium shank, perfect for those who are new to pointe work. Having said that, many dancers purchase this shoe time and time again.
Capezio Ava 1142W. Our absolute favourite for beginners and one of the best “training tools” for students new to point. The Ava features a broad, feathered toe box and a 2.5″ shank that offers flexibility to the arch. For a stronger foot, a 3.5″ enhanced shank is available on request.
Virtisse Enigma. NEW to Duo Dance. A “ready-to-wear” pointe shoe featuring a flexible, yet highly supportive shank. A wide platform and long wings provide excellent support and stability, a perfect shoe for a dancer who wants to build strength. We would recommend Virtisse to those who have been wearing Grishko in the past.
Virtisee Violette. NEW to Duo Dance. Again a “ready-to-wear” shoe with new inner construction providing wonderful flexibility as well as a beautiful and seamless roll-through. The Violette is ideal for both beginners and advanced dancers.
